# Bets on Battle

After you have chosen your role and clicked "Start the fight," you will have the option to decide whether you want to play with a bet or without one. The choice is yours — take on the challenge and put your $GG on the line, or play without the risk.

The concept of betting is simple: you choose the amount of $GG you want to wager on winning the upcoming battle.

If you defeat your opponent, you receive their wagered $GG in addition to your own, thereby increasing your bank. However, if you lose, you forfeit all the $GG you placed on the battle. Keep in mind that you might encounter an opponent with a lower bet; in this case, your bet will automatically be adjusted to match theirs.

What if the bets differ significantly? Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait long to find an opponent with a similar bet—we’ve accounted for this so you can quickly start the battle.

For example, imagine Player A decides to wager 500 GG, while Player B places a larger bet of 3000 GG. In this case, the battle will proceed with a wager of 500 GG. Thus, if Player B loses, they only lose 500 GG, despite their initially higher bet.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Playing with a bet always involves risk. When you choose to wager your $GG on a battle, you take on the responsibility for the potential full loss of the amount you’ve staked.
